This visualization explores how the refugee crisis (which could be a fallout of war, famine or an environmental disaster) impacts both the world - the countries of origin and the other countries which play host to the refugees.
While we would expect refugees to move to neighbouring nations; there is also a significant movement to countries with which the origin country does not share a border.
